The treatment of
ACECE nasal spray is a medical device containing 3% hypertonic saline solution with pH control and 6% N-acetylcysteine. ACECE nasal spray works by diluting thick and sticky mucus by means of physical / mechanical action of its components:
– buffered hypertonic sodium chloride solution: hypertonic saline solutions applied directly to the mucosa through osmosis extract water from inside to outside the cell. This increases the percentage of water in the mucus lining the epithelium, which leads to a reduction in its amount, and thus facilitates its removal
– N-acetylcysteine: a variation of the acetylated amino acid, it causes a mucolytic effect through direct contact with mucus. This action depends on the presence in the molecule of sulfhydryl radicals capable of breaking the disulfide bonds of mucoproteins that give mucus viscosity by depolymerizing them
One 30 ml bottle contains: N-acetylcysteine 1.8 g, sodium chloride 0.9 g.
Excipients: sodium hydroxide, sodium edetate, purified water.
Indications for use include moisturizing the nasal mucosa and facilitating mechanical removal of mucus and / or mucopurulent secretions residing inside the nasal cavity (acute, subacute and slow-growing rhinitis; chronic and mucosal purulent rhinitis; vasomotor rhinitis) and inside the sinuses paranasal (acute and chronic sinusitis), relief of symptoms and course of acute, subacute and chronic inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients. Viscoflu nasal spray should not be used in children under 2 years of age. During pregnancy and breast-feeding Viscoflu nasal spray should only be used when absolutely necessary and under the direct supervision of a physician.
Solution in a glass bottle, 30 ml, with vertical spray activator and protective cap.
